How long can you stay in Cyprus if you own property?

EU nationals have no restrictions and don't need to own property in Cyprus.

If you are a third-country national, demonstrating frequent visits to Cyprus might qualify you for a Multiple-entry Visa (Category C). These visas can be issued for up to 5 years. Each visit must not exceed 3 months (90 days) within any six-month period, starting from the date of first entry (source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cyprus).

Note that this type of visa is not granted automatically. You must apply at the Cyprus consul or Embassy in your country.

There is no guaranteed right to obtain a visa. After obtaining the visa, entry into Cyprus is not automatic. The entry requirements for the Republic of Cyprus will be re-evaluated. For instance, you may be required to provide evidence or documents, such as a bank guarantee, proof of employment, or financial resources.

Holders of Schengen visas do not need a visa to enter Cyprus.

In any case, third-country nationals cannot purchase property in Cyprus without permission from the Council of Ministers.

The Category F permanent residence permit necessitates a stable income of €9,568 for the applicant and an extra €4,613 for each dependent. This income must originate from abroad. Although purchasing a house or apartment is not mandatory for this permit, it is recommended.
