 Immigration Services in Cyprus

We provide tailored support to individuals and families moving to Cyprus by offering legal guidance and seamless application processing.

 Temporary Residence Permits

A Pink Slip is one of the simplest ways to move to Cyprus and is available for individuals with a yearly income from abroad—at least €24,000 for a single applicant and €33,000 for a three-member family (post-tax). Applicants must hold a clean criminal record and adequate health insurance. While the permit does not allow you to work in Cyprus, it is valid for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

Additionally, the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa allows IT professionals to live in Cyprus while working remotely for foreign-based companies. This visa is issued for a year and can be extended for an additional two years.

Permanent Residency Permits

Cyprus residency by investment is a fast-track option for obtaining permanent residency by investing a minimum of €300,000. Applicants must also declare an annual income of €50,000 and provide clean criminal records every three years.

Alternatively, a Category F Residence Permit is suitable for non-investors who have a minimum annual income of €9,568 for a single applicant and €4,613 for dependants. However, note that this route can take longer, as the application processing times have faced significant delays. Applicants are advised to apply for temporary residence permits while awaiting outcomes.

 Yellow Slip for EU Citizens

A Yellow Slip or Registration Certificate is available to EU and EEA citizens who wish to work or reside in Cyprus for over four months. It offers complete rights to work, engage in business, and access services similar to Cypriot citizens.

 Business Immigration and Work Permits

For business owners and international employees, the Cyprus Business Visa provides residency options. It requires a capital investment of €260,000 for company formation. Both Type C (Owners) and Type E (Employees) residency permits remain valid as long as the individual owns or works for the company in Cyprus.

Additionally, through Cyprus’ Business Facilitation Unit (BFU), work permits for third-country employees can be issued without undergoing labour market tests.

Recent Updates to Cyprus Immigration Policies

Cyprus has introduced new immigration regulations to align with EU standards and local economic demands:

- Updates to the Residency by Investment Programme (effective 2023) include maintaining the investment threshold at €300,000 while increasing annual income requirements (€50,000 for applicants, €15,000 for spouses, and €10,000 per dependent child). Permit holders must regularly confirm compliance with the criteria.

- At the end of 2023, Cyprus launched a citizenship scheme for highly skilled foreign workers with legal residence spanning 3–4 years and Greek language proficiency (B1 or A2 level). Continuous residence in Cyprus for one uninterrupted year is required for application eligibility.

- As of May 2024, certain highly skilled applicants with degrees taught in Greek are exempt from providing language certification.

 FAQs About Cyprus Immigration

Can I Apply via a Representative?

Yes, applications can be submitted through legal representatives (e.g., lawyers, educational institutions, or employers). Once approved, the applicant must visit Cyprus to provide biometric data.
